2010 Workshop schedule for Diana’s Art Farm

March 28, The Art of Making a Cake Plate  Back by popular demand, Diana will make you a cake plate in clay to decorate.  She is a trained pastry chef and created wedding cakes for a living.  Now she will train you to use slips in pastry tubes to make your own serving dish for your special cakes.  All techniques can be translated to butter cream and fondant for you to use in your own kitchen.  Recipies will be included in this very special opportunity.  High tea will be served! (Hats and gloves required).  Limited to 8 people $125. includes food, supplies and firing charges.  You will have a cake plate of your own design to go home with .April 23,24,25 Monoprinting with clay.  A spa  weekend of fun and food.  Learn to color clay and transfer prints onto a felt-like material for framing. It starts at 5 on Friday so you can settle into your area and be ready to start printing Saturday morning.  Plenty of time and  materials and no one has ever gone home hungry. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday prepared by your own personal chef Mary Capello (head chef at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Marin Co)  Maximum 8 people

date to be announced  Turn your Art into Cards- a Collage workshop With Maggie Bolt
Maggie will help you create a wonderful set of cards for any occasion from artwork that was destined to be thrown away.  ”I have never met an ugly piece of art that I couldn’t make better by tearing or cutting it up and gluing it into a lovely card…”  Maggie will furnish stamps, papers, glue, inks, card stock and lots of “art” to be cut apart and reassembled.  This is all day Saturday and half day on Sunday.  Diana will feed you wonderful organic food grown fresh on the Art Farm while Maggie stimulates your creative juices.  The cost is $175. This includes materials, breakfast treats, and two lunches.  10-4 Saturday and Sunday.  Total 8 people. All the workshops are taught at Diana’s home and studio.  The workshops are limited to provide plenty of space and one on one attention.  Your space is reserved when your fee is paid.  The checks or credit cards will be charged three weeks before the event.  There is a cancellation fee of $50. three weeks out and within two weeks of the workshop you will receive a refund only if I can fill your space.To sign up, please mail your payment to us at:
